Fuzzy336
I had a friend set my gains but I recently got a DD1 to check everything, when competing, I use 0 db test tones and the iasca CD songs are 0 db if I remember correctly, but decafs music is -5 db and the manual says -5 for sq, and -15 for spl, because of the tracks that I play which setting would be best for me to tune to? Quote My Youtube Channel Trying to guess the SPL of a system with out a meter is like trying to guess how much air pressure is in a compressor tank just by letting some of the air out. ...Seems like 90 psi... audiofanaticz
You would want to set the amp with the 0db tone.
audiofanaticz
second thought a better idea instead of having to constantly re tune the amp would be set the amp gain like normal, but use a lower subwoofer volume on the radio, then figure when you compete turn that subwoofer volume back up on the radio for a 0db setting, once done competing turn the subwoofer volume back down.
