dharris2488 Posted August 2, 2014 Report Share Posted August 2, 2014 (edited) How you liking the Taramps? Thought about buying the HD5000 2ohm to support the 12.5-13v situation I'm facing. I realized that I'm not dropping too much voltage (maybe a full volt at full tilt, as long as my batteries are topped off), which is ok to me and everything else is good to go. The Taramps have me interested, but the only thing holding me back is that I heard they don't like vibration to much. How did you get around this issue? I think by adding one more battery and securing the amp, or protecting it from vibrations, and I would be good to go... I really want to put 2500 on each one of the Ethos, but to do it at 2ohm the conventional way isn't worth the price tag to me. Rather recone the subs and wire them to 1... Thanks again no prob man i must warn u thought within the first 5 min playing the taramp i blew 3 coil out of 8. the power these amps put out is just amazing i didnt even get the meter them with all 8 coils becaus i wanted to hear it. but with 5 coils wired to a 4.6 ohm load on a 2 ohm version taramp i metered 150.2db on music legal. with b ox rise. on lanzar opti 4k i did 145 sealed . my new speakers will be here monday and ill be back at full power. im attending the show at sundown hq on the 16th if anyone reading this is comming.
