Need Help With A Spl Box

I want to build a pure spl box for my car but I have a few questions.

1) The resonant frequency of my car is 56hz. Should I tune the box to that or should i tune it alittle higher so I can shave the port down until I get the highest output?

2)I want to fire the sub up the port to the side. My car is a small hatchback. the sub is all the way to the back of the car. And will be as far to the drivers side as possible. Is this a good idea?

3) The min. air space for my sub (L7 15") is 3 cuft is this a good place to start for box size? I seen alot of people say small box +high tuning = big number.

4)So if this is the case I think I need a box 3 cu ft tunned to 56hz . So what size aero port would I need, what size and how long? Or would i be better off using a slot port?

FYI the car is a MX-3 and I'm using a Kicker 15" L7 D4 pushed by a ZX1500. Stock 90 amp alt, Big 3, 1/0 monster cable and a Kentik 800

Correct. If you are sure your car peaks at 56 then i would tune around 54. I would also go smaller than 3 cubes but not sure about the L715. I like L7's but the L7 15 is a horrible spl sub because the mms is so high and the fs is so low.

If you can send me some good pics of your cargo area, i can tell you which way to fire the sub and port. Probably a 6" aero or PVC.

Also If i do 3 cuft tuned to 54hz . It calls for 77.50 of port area. If I use 4-6" pvc tubes how long would they need to be.

I know i won't be doing 50's but I was hoping to get in the high 40's I think that would be good for the power class i'm looking to go in.( Nspl Car 0-24 100 amp max draw/One amp per sub)
