Mike Rebman
First thing is first, i am not a professional, nor do I ever claim to be. With that being said, here is my setup. I looked and looked on the net for pictures of other people 4th gen boxes and amp rack for ideas. I couldn't find any pictures of someone using 4 10's that would allow me to use the ttop holder in the back, and still have a little view out of the back window. After much consideration and the use of the Torres box tuning calculator, I came up with a 3.8 cu ft box ported to 35hz. I do not have the patience to do the finish work, that is why this setup looks the way it does so please don't criticise me. As it stands the ttops fit the factory holder in the back, and I can see out of the back window although only a little bit. It's enough to see the tailgater behind me. This was a budget build, although the fiberglass work on the box blew my intended budget to get it rigid enough to handle the power. Specs: Subs - 4 Alpine type s dual 2 ohm coils Sub Amp - Hifonics Brutus 2400.1 Mids/High Amp - Old school Alpine mrv-1000 (used to have that and a mrv-500 but 500 blew a channel, so now all mids on 1 amp) Mids/high Speakers - Alpine type r compnents in door (factory locations) and jl audio 6.25 in rear by back seat (were in the car when I got it) Headunit - Alpine cde-102 (next to be replaced, I need BT for new state laws) My glue didn't hold for the material at the port (will reglue it) . I know I need to vacuum and clean up, Clean up will include my wiring. For anyone wondering if it could be done, it can. It sounds pretty good too.
