ChiefBaummer Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 I am putting two SoundQubed HDC3 18's on an SQ 2200.1 and was wondering what I would need to do to my electrical system? They are going in a 1999 Chevy Tahoe. Everything is stock on the truck. I want to be able to bump without serious voltage drop or distorted and unclean power going to the amp. I asked a local audio shop and they said to just get a capacitor. I looked online quite a bit and it seems that capacitors are not a very good alternative. So if some people could tell me what I need to do. (Big 3, 2nd battery etc.) It would be greatly appreciated.
islandpride684 Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 You could start off doing the Big 3 and a second battery, if your budget is not limited then cop a HO alt... Build Log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186921-blk9te-07-yukon-slo-mo-build/page-3?hl=%2Bblk9te#entry2881410
