In in the prossers of designing a 4th order for the new re xxx12v4 I'm thinking a 1=1 ratio for sq... First question is will this enclosure have a louder SQL than just a sealed box? from what I've read sealed is 2.84 cubes and a rep from re emailed me that the ported specs are 3.75 cf !!!!! Lol I asked him twice cuz I couldn't believe 3.75cf but he reassured me that it's correct...any way I'm thinking 2.5 sealed and 2.5 ported tuned to 45-50 hz due to limited space...does this sound correct? I've researched this for a month because this is my first build and I'm being carefull to get the specs correct. I just need a bit of input:-) or if some one can give a recommendation on a good build (if mine is incorrect) my juice is a 160 amp alt 2 hifonics BRE 2500.1and 2yellow tops in the trunk of a 05 corolla any input would b greatly appreciated

Personally the tuning seems high. I would do somewhere in the mid 30's. As far as the box goes that's kind of up to the space you have to work with. But if you can get in the neighborhood of 3cf after displacements, that's what i would shoot for.

a 12 with 3.75 recommended? that's my kind of sub! imo if they recommend that much space i wouldn't go smaller. 4th or not i wouldn't go smaller. if it was me and the recommended was 3.75 id put it in a 4.25 and put rated power to it and call it a day.

If I was to say "scrap the idea of a forth order" and build a ported box 4.25 at 28hz what aero port would u guys recomended maby 6" ... The fs of my sub is 21hz and I read that for a forth order you go off sealed specs "hence 2.5=2.5 for a 1=1 ratio" lol I'm only asking cuz it's my first build and I thank u guys for the reply
