electrical issue?

Recommended Posts

if they are both running to the amp how it shows in that drawing using both sets of speaker inputs , then you are running at one ohm at the amp , if its a monoblock amp both sets of speaker inputs are wired internally into one , I have my subs wired up the same way on a rf r1200 using 2 sets of speaker inputs and its one ohm load at the amp

really I thought it was at 2. I guess the sealed box keeps it from getting loud? It doesn't seem like it is getting 1000 watts. I guess ill have to build a box sooner than i planned just havnt had the time.

have u got a digital multimeter ? , then you can check yourself , I might be wrong im in no way an expert on the matter, I originally had my 2 15s in sealed prefab boxes and they sounded like shit , once I built a custom ported box for them they came alive , I got my design from joe x on here

you cant wire two d4 woofers to 2 ohms.

clear up the information please.

two d4 woofers can ONLY be wired to 1, 4, and 16 ohms.

two d2 woofers can ONLY be wired to .5, 2, and 8 ohms.

so am I at 1ohm if the subs are wired like this http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=1&I=42#results in each chamber of the box? or is this the only way it should be http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=42

how are gains set?

you keep saying 2ohm, do you mean 2ohm at the amp or per sub? 2 d4 subs cant be wired to 2ohm at the amp. Its either 4ohm or 1ohm.

and the gain is set about 1/4 of the way up lpf is about 80 and sub sonic is at like 25-30

all +'s together and all -'s together = 1 ohm for you. IF you have dual 4 ohm woofers. if you have dual 2 ohm woofers, thats .5
