dawgs007 Posted August 15, 2014 Report Posted August 15, 2014 I have the opportunity to get 2 12" RF P3's in a ported box w/ amp tomorrow for $200. The amp is an RF Prime amp. Not sure on wattage, will update when I found out. Would you guys agree that this seems like a good deal or should I be leery of something? truthsayer Posted August 15, 2014 Report Posted August 15, 2014 Seems like a good deal if everything is in good working condition. truthsayer

dawgs007 Posted August 15, 2014 Author Report Posted August 15, 2014 Seems like a good deal if everything is in good working condition. They are the 2ohm model. Would that be a problem in the future if I ever wanna put them at 1ohm? Also, I know they're both RF P-series, but would 1.1200 underpower the two P3's? They're rated at 600rms each. The amp is only 800rms at 2ohm which will then be sent to each speakers making only 400rms per. Or, if they're wired to 1ohm, it will be 1200wrms from amp but still splitting it between the two subs making 600rms each. Would that be underpowering them and hurting them? Or am I thinking of it wrong? dawgs007 Posted August 15, 2014 Author Report Posted August 15, 2014 I'm just mostly worried about whether or not it is a wise investment from what I have. I currently have: 12" Power Acoustik Mofo 122X paired with a Soundstream Picasso p1.1200d He has: 2 12" RF P3 paired with a RF Prime 1.1200 upload pictures free Current Setup: 2002 Ford Focus SE (stock electrical) -Kenwood Excelon KDC-X397 -Infinity Kappa 6x9's in each door -Rockford Fosgate Prime R1200-1D -2 12" Rockford Fosgate P3D2 Backups: -12" Power Acoustik Mofo-122X in 36hz T-Line box -Soundstream Piasso P1.1200D
Aj11 Posted August 15, 2014 Report Posted August 15, 2014 people Can say what they want and get at me.. but those p3d are Junk! pure junk! I'm not saying there better or worse then your sub. but i wouldn't run p3s just for the sake of bass. now the deal is good. i would buy it and sell the subs and box for $150 or at least $100. i bought 2 p3s for my girls car a while ago.they almost sounded fake like some sdx subs. if your thinking about swapping that system out for yours, i would pass! the increase if any at all will be minimum. that amp is very nice! jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
