blacksheep Posted August 16, 2014 Report Posted August 16, 2014 hello all, noob here witth a few qustions. i want to finally make the leap to the next level sub. i have run audiobahn 1206t's for nearly a decade because i dont see anything in its class that will outperform it (18mm xmax 1way in gap, 92db spl @ 1w with 1100w rms rating and pretty nice sq for a cheap sub)... so its time to upgrade... i have a visonik 4kw amp but only get 3kw or so cuz im on 12v still. i also have a blown audiobahn immortal 15" with crappy flamer bskt but has a nice motor... so my question is what basket may fit so that i may have psi put a frankenwoofer together? could i convert it to a 3kw 18" with a re or dd basket? any suggestions other than spend $1000+ on a new woofer?
