fracl Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 hi. I'm about to install my new Crescendo Symphony 1500/1 and PPI P900/4. I have stock 90 amp alt. an Optima Redtop. big 3 done with 0 gauge and one run of 0 gauge to the back and a 100 amp ANL fuse close to battery.. I use to have a sundown saz1500.1 and an sax 125.4 that I connected using 4 gauge from a distribution block with a 40 and a 60 amp fuse in the block. but now I want to run 0 gauge to each amp. i'll be using a "Y" adaptor for that. cause that distribution block doesn't take 0 gauge. my question is this, will I be ok with just the 100 amp at the front? I never blown a fuse in 3 years running the Sundown amps. I have red a lot over the last few days but im more confused then I was before I think.? thanks
islandpride684 Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 I would run a 200 amp fuse at the battery, run another set of fuses at the split, one for each amp, a 200 amp fuse for the 1500.1 and a 80 amp fuse for the 900.4... islandpride684 Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 Idk which is cheaper but I would do a fused distro block....google and compare the two and see which one is cheaper.....or you can check out http://www.droppinhzcaraudio.com Build Log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186921-blk9te-07-yukon-slo-mo-build/page-3?hl=%2Bblk9te#entry2881410
