Parentnoia
Right now, I'm attempting to squeeze as much out of my current setup as possible by upgrading it's (upgradeable) weakpoints. It already has 2 single channel 1GB modules. Looking around tells me that I can have up to 4GB RAM. Would it be better to replace my two channels with a dual channel 4GB, go for a quad channel 4GB, or just add a dual channel 2GB? 1999 GMC Suburban SLTNo system planned just yet. Look at "hate" spelled backwards. It spells "e-tah." For example, if you hate me you can e-tah dick.
RainStryke
Quad channel RAM is only compatible with X79 and X99 motherboards. If you have a limit of 4GB on your board... you probably only support DDR2 RAM. That stuff has been EOL for a long time now and is expensive. What are the specs of your PC? Mine is 4 years old and max at 16gb and using ddr3 dual channel and I'm about to retire it.
