acal Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 I have a Rockford Fosgate T212D4 and trying to figure out a decent amp for it. I will be putting it in my 2014 Civic Si and was also wondering if this subwoofer would put to much strain on my stock electrical system. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/t212d4 Thanks, a-cal
SlamminBeats Posted September 30, 2014 Report Posted September 30, 2014 the amp is what draws current on your electrical, not a subwoofer. its rated at 1000rms so get a 1000 rms amp

acal Posted October 15, 2014 Author Report Posted October 15, 2014 The only thing I could find is that it has a different charging system called like "can bus" and doesn't run like a normal alternator it's just provides power on demand. I'm really confused.
noobslayer77 Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 i would bet my left nut you'd be fine on stock electrical with 1000 watt amp. Just make sure you fuse appropriately. If you're buying an 800 dollar subwoofer you shouldnt skimp on the amp. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_57510001CP/Rockford-Fosgate-T1000-1bdCP.html?tp=115&awkw=75622221385&awat=pla&awnw=g&awcr=47439360985&awdv=c ^^ is a good amp. You could also look at the alpine pdx 1100 if you wanna save a little cash. I'm sure both will do just fine. What kind of box is this going in? 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited 2 13w7s skar 3500 cnf mids (soon) xs batteries
