Bluefusion10 Posted October 4, 2014 Report Posted October 4, 2014 When installing door speakers, one of the important aspects fo consider is the clearance behind the door for the speaker, but what about the front between the metal door and the back of the door panel? If I install aftermarket speakers, how can I tell if the door panel is pressing up against the woofer when I install it? And if it doesnt, how can I check to be sure that the woofer is not hitting the door panel when it is at full excursion, or at any point for that matter?
hdorre Posted October 4, 2014 Report Posted October 4, 2014 Remove grille. Reinstall door panel. Measure through the hole where the grille was.
