Taking a look at the pre black Friday sale on sonic electronix, and came across this amp for $172! They claim it does 1400 rms at 1 ohm.

Couple questions, this price seems too good to be true, anybody ever used one?

Do they do rated?

Lastly, I know CEA compliance really means nothing. That being said, I have never seen an amp listed on a major website such as sonic electronix that is not compliant with their "regulations". Is this a red flag or is it the same old story that CEA compliance means jack shit?

Edit: Link to said amp

i had 2 of the xtx line. they got louder and sounded better than the brutus.. would i buy one again? big nope.. after a few months they started acting up and had to wait till they would warm up to get loud and sound clean again. that would take 10 to 15 minutes and was near my destination

this is where if it sounds too good to be true then it is. budget amps dont last long. i would save a bit more and get the crescendo s1500. it does over 1500 watts and you can get it from here http://www.droppinhzcaraudio.com/crescendo-audio-s1500-1/ cody has one of the best customer service

OK thanks. Like I said the price put up red flags but I know RE makes some decent subs (line dependent), just wasn't sure about the amps
