Daniel Brill-Edwards
OK well after talking with bump4life I ended up buying 2 banks of caps for the spare wheel well so the final power supply is: 2x 210amp alts A 60-75ah sized AGM battery (XS Power D4800 or equivalent) in the engine bay XS Power D3100 in battery rack 2 banks of 6 super caps in the wheel well My question now is what fuse rating to put on the runs on 1/0 This is my engine bay - http://imgur.com/Fhk2mtQ I'm planning of having a block holding the 4 fuses above the ABS pump so the distance from the alts to the fuses is about 4/5ft. From the fuses, through the firewall to the back distribution is about 8-10ft. From the datasheet - https://www.knukonceptz.com/assets/pdf/PowerWireSpec.pdf a 200/250amp fuse would be suitable but that is assuming 1 run. With 2 runs per alt and the alt being able to put out around 250amps what would be the best way of fusing? 2 x 150a to be very safe? 2 x 200a?
