did you watch the video? i clearly explained that the manufacturer doesn't recommend this. However i have been at 15.5+ volts on my batteries for YEARS with no problems. I don't condone it nor do i work for the manufacturer of the batteries so do so at your own risk (not you, but anyone reading this). that being said, like i said, i have never had a problem. 15.3 is safe IMO. as for you "charging" your battery at 14.4v and hearing it "gas escaping", the only thing i can say about that is it don't sound like it is "charging" at all. It sounds more like a power supply if you are able to tell it "14.4" and then physically back it down to 13.5 on your own. I have never seen a "trickle" charger that you choose the voltage. I recommend getting an xs power intellicharger so you can get a PROPER charge that knows when to stop charging. It don't sound like your "charger" knows when to stop (if it is making noise). Usually that only happens if you leave a power supply on all night, not a charger. Yeah course I watched it I just thought you had some inside information from XS that's all! I know you can charge AGMs a bit higher than standard lead acids but didn't know that much! Don't worry i'll be careful Yeah I shouldn't have called it a trickle charger, it just had an adjustable power supply on it acting as a trickle charger. The battery is fine now it was just when I got it I put the power supply on it at 14.4. Then backed it off to 13.5 and left it for a few months while I got the rest of my equipment. 7 year old battery that still floats at 13.1 - XS FTW!

How come you are charging at 15.3V? I also noticed you do the same in the tahoe. It specifically says in the XS power manuals not to charge above 14.4V ie 2.4V per cell Can you get away with it in the car as there is always a draw (the cars electrical system, ECU etc) rather than it just being sat on a charger. Or do you just turn up the voltage for demos to account for the drop? When I had my D3100 out the car and on an adjustable trickle charger, I set it to 14.4 and when it was fully charged I actually heard a tiny bit of gas escaping so I backed it off to 13.5 (recommended float charge). But then that had no load on it.

Looks so evil - just need to do the lexus logo blue or black for complete murdered look and then chrome strips round the windows I can't really see from those pictures but is the rear view mirror black or grey? Doing it black is a subtle touch that would go with the tinted windows and just look even more evil in someones rear view. Get someone else to drive in and go in the car in front and you'll see what I mean

Anyone know this song?

Listening to it more and more I think it's the words from "I want candy" stuck before some rap slowdown. I've messaged someone on youtube to see if the vehicle owner has a channel and then I can message him if he does. -
Hi guys does anyone recognise which version song this is? (Song at 1:45) As I said in the comments it has the intro from "I Want Candy - MC Pee Pants (MC Chris)" but then it goes into some crazy slow down which looks like it steps down to 20hz!! Thanks

A guy over here had a 15" orion HCCA in his smart car. It did 150.3db at 33hz. http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/ipb/index.php/topic/342953-my-2011-upgrade Then he put 2 12" SPL dynamics in: http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/ipb/index.php/topic/345712-next-sub-options/page__st__40 I heard it with the 12s and it was ridiculously loud!!

It's crazy to think i've been following your stuff since 2007 when it was builds out of your garage and back garden and now you've got this huge shop, 2 post lift, you're a dealer and have loads of you're own products out and on the way. So much of my time has been spent going over those build logs!! If by some miracle I am ever in California I would love to see the shop and the garage where it all started!!

Hey Steve, I know you've probably got everything all designed in your head and don't need anyone telling you what to do but i'd like to put an idea in your head. Use the 2 12s in a rear ported tunnel firing through the armrest hole in the backseat (if you have one). I have a friend with this set up in his Audi A5 and you just would not believe how smooth it is and how low it drops. It was designed by the same guy who did the monster truck. Honestly it's hard to describe how good the sound is! Here is a quick video he did: That note at 0:24 when it seems to go quiet is pretty much where it's tuned to and the whole car almost breathes!
