Sealed Box For Spl?

i know i know sealed wont put out as much as ported but has anyone ever heard of a sealed box used for spl (and what they hit)???? i know ive seen sealed walls but what about boxes?? whats the main problem with sealed boxes for spl?

i guess it depends on how far you wanna go.

if you can fit 24 subs in your ride, do it like tommy's truck.

if i had the space, money, energy, and time, id go with a setup like his over ported, for daily:)

How no room for ported? Dedicated SPL ported boxes can be really small, high tuning etc.

Unless you have a wall and heaps of subs + cone area then you're gonna really struggle hitting 140.

I hit 136 @ 58hz with about 3000w into a 15. Then I unblocked the port and hit 146. There's a big difference.

well its a daily beater i can have external ports but dont know how exactly too tune em for music any difference from interal ports?

If you really didnt have room for a port, i would give up a sub to make room for a port.

......But you have plenty of room in that truck for your 2 15's and a port. Fire the 2 15's forward and the port out the passenger end of the box

what car do you have? hitting low 40s is too easy, burping that is. mid 40s and up is where it gets tricky since you gotta test, test, and test.
