rfbasshead Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Ok so I just purchased some 0awg from SHCA, I will be using it to add a second battery which will be located in the bed of my truck, my question is, what's the best way to secure it to the frame and protect it from the elements?

rfbasshead Posted December 24, 2014 Author Report Posted December 24, 2014 some looming and a battery water proof case... How would I mount it thought? I seen some frame clips online but I'm not sure if it'll fit, I was also looking at metal zip ties summit racing sells http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-350128/overview/ http://www.grote.com/products/99460-5-trailer-wiring-frame-clip-10-pack-retail-pack/ Would those work? I kinda want to go the first option only because I'm pretty sure they'll fit around the frame
islandpride684 Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 you can use them big ol zip ties or c-clamps...you can get them at your local hardware store...lowes, homedepot or http://www.parts-express.com/cat/wire-cable-management/2189 Build Log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186921-blk9te-07-yukon-slo-mo-build/page-3?hl=%2Bblk9te#entry2881410
redwolf2 Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 Any time I run wire to the back of my truck I either loom it and zip tie it to existing wires, or I electrical tape it (together) twice, and seal the ends the best I can (so water doesn't get between, you'll need to split the wires at the end and tape them individually)
