thefourth
Maybe your voltage is dropping too low Doubtful, the amp would most likely protect. Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do thatI can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd. YukonDCXL
If you do not have a voltage meter then you just don't know for sure. Get one of those $20 meter from walmart and put probes on battery while you play your system and see if it drops.
Kade
Holy crap guys. Thought my problem worked itself out. The whole damn amp shut off. Highs and lows! Looked at my bass knob that has a clipping LED on it, it was blank. Waited about 10sec and the amp turned back on. W.T.F. A/C wasn't on, wipers weren't on, the volume wasn't cranked at all. What the shit is going on?! 2009 Dodge Caliber SXT (Silver) Deck: Pioneer X3600BHS Amps: RF P1000X5 Front: RF P16-S Rear: RF P1694 Subs: 1 RF P3D2-10 Cabling: Stinger 6 channel RCA, RF 4gauge kit, SkyHighCarAudio 16gauge speaker wire.
