moredbs Posted January 5, 2015 Report Share Posted January 5, 2015 what is your stock alternator rated? it usually has a little wiggle room for extras,but not much. when you know what that stock number is you should look at what amp draw your trying to add,and then you will have an idea what you need. its not quad alternators either(sarcastic!) if an amp requires a 300 amp fuse,it will usually require half of that to run properly,but more wouldn't hurt. fordbassmaker95 Posted January 5, 2015 Author Report Share Posted January 5, 2015 I think it's either a 95 or 130 amp output. and with that being said my 260 amp load is actually like 130ish and the original 170 amp alt I mentioned earlier would be great for that setup..right???
