fordbassmaker95 Posted January 4, 2015 Report Posted January 4, 2015 ok.I have a amp rated at 200 amps for the subs and 60 amps for the highs. my question is will a 170 amp alt provide enough power to run this setup?? or should i go bigger n I do have a extra battery in the trunk if that helps

RainStryke Posted January 4, 2015 Report Posted January 4, 2015 Don't know anything about that amplifier... It looks like an older model. I know their new ones are extremely poor quality. It claims 2500w @ 2OHM's and 3500w @ 1OHM. I'd say hook it up, and watch your voltage. If you are having troubles with it staying above 12v, then i'd look into a bigger alternator.
fordbassmaker95 Posted January 5, 2015 Author Report Posted January 5, 2015 the thing is I haven't installed the amp yet n I kno my old alt is shot.. and I wanted some opinions about it b4 I committed.and find out later that i need a bigger one.. and as far as the amp I think it's an older model I bought it as a refurb for like 150 with a year warranty
