Hi everyone my name is matt and I am somewhat new to the audio systems up till the cheep Walmart subs that were giving to me all I had done was replace speakers. now that I have a little room in my Mazda B2600i (little truck like an s-10) and a little sound(only coming from the subs) I thought I would up grade everything I did start it and ran into a little trouble as the head unit sat down by my shifter on the floor so I moved it cut a hole for it and I like it there but I don't use the cd player so I was looking into one without the cd player as the head unit sticks out 1.5 in or just taking the face plate off and trying to make a wiring harness for it so I can move the unit to the stock place and keep the face plate where I like. the big problem I have is I have 2 holes cut in the dash where the last owner wanted to put tweets but the front are under the dash and are 4in the back are 6.5. can I take the tweets from the 6.5 and put the in the front where the holes are? I plan to amp all speakers. I now have 2 12in at about 300 watts 4 ohm each as its winter and cold I have yet to full power (500 watts) I want to put my 10in 600 watt dual 4 ohm and run it at 2 ohm at full power but was told that would be much in my truck. sorry about the ramdom talking I type as my mind thinks of the stuff. and also do 6.5 have to be closed in or are the free air? ill post pics as soon as I can

so I have been working on a box for the back of my truck and I was thinking of towering my two 12s in the middle this way I can have sets in the back. in the same way I thought of making the sets of the back house the 6.5s. I was thinking of putting 4 6.5, 4 4in and the two 12s. what I mean is that when someone is in the back the would be sitting on 2 6.5s. but still comes to matter can I put the tweeters of the 6.5 in the front of my truck and still sound good. I also have an idea to put two of the 4in in the middle of my truck where the head unit WAS. ill have pics later next week of what I want to build and where it would go. I have also been looking to get a head unit that is only about half the depth. as where I have moved it to it sticks out about 2 inches now. I don't use cds anymore so I don't need a cd player. and then comes to mind as to where I would mount my amps. I have been told that its not a good idea to mouth amps to the box. I don't know how true this is. and at the end of the day after thinking about this the past month my last thoughts are how much power do I want to do. right now I have cheep Walmart 12s 500 watt peek on a 500 watt amp and only maybe 25% gain and have to turn it up all the way. was thinking of maybe no more then 1200-1500 watts. PLEASE IF YOU READ THIS I NEED THE FEEDBACK I WANT THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY. I AM NEW. we all have been new at one point.
