There is two front dash mounted speakers, two rear door speakers and two barn door roof speakers. I have not bought any speakers yet. Should I be looking for a 6 channel amp or should I run a 4 channel amp and wire two sets of speakers together? I am new to this and need help picking speakers and amp combo.
2loud4uboyz Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 I would run a 4 channel amp. Take your dash and door speakers and put them on the front channel of said amp. Saying each speakers is 4 ohm each. So front two channels will be 2 ohm on the amp. Take the rear speakers and put them on the rear channel of amp. Get another amp for subwoofers when you get them. So many ways to do it really. But if your just getting into Car audio simpler is better. Check out the build logs Here dude you will learn so much on this forum. Also learn about the right way to set your gains. When I first got into Car Audio I clipped my system way to much. Live on learn. This hobby can and will cost a lot of money OH Yeah.. What I said is general speaking . Many ways of installing a system. Buy Caraudio CookBook read a learn.
