sfbsnyder
I'm days away from purchasing either 1 x- 18 or 2 SA 15's... it's going in a dodge caravan so there's lots of space to fill. I'll be running a Brutus 2000.1, might not be the best but that's what I have for now, and I have enough power for it.. I understand the cone volume is greater on the 15's and I'm sure I would appreciate the sound.... my problem is I just can't get over that X line.... I want to hear it ever so badly... I will build a proper box for either setup..I have never heard either of the subs in person and I am loosing my damn mind trying to choose.. I listen to mostly rap and love the lows but I am fearful that I won't get anything but lows from the 18.. yet also afraid that the SA's won't rattle enough shit loose in my head... any input would be greatly appreciated
sfbsnyder
So will the x more or less be playing a "tone" so to speak above like 40 hz? Or will they still have some movement? And then be like sitting in a hurricane below 40hz? I just want to make sure the SA's will be some what violent on the lows.... and from what I've seen and read they can do some work... ToNasty
It's all in the box. I like sas myself Quote ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
sfbsnyder
Every time I think I've made up my mind I go right back to the other one... I'm starting to wonder about the x-15 being a happy medium.... but I am currently running an American bass hd 15 so I'd rather make a step up to an 18 or 2 15's... sfbsnyder
Because I don't have the power for it. 2000 watts is about the most I can handle with my alternator, so I'm just looking for something different... I'll open the big can of worms when I have a solid few grand to throw at a setup...
ToNasty
if you think you can only support 2k then go with 2 sa15s. They like that power Quote ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
sfbsnyder
Yea, that seems to be the consensus... I even just flipped a coin and it told me to get the SA's. It's all for fun anyway, I'm pretty sure I just took a solid year off my life by stressing out about this every waking hour for like a week now.. I'm sure some day when I want to spend some some serious coin on alternators and batteries and whatnot I'll make my way around to a pair or two of some x's... sfbsnyder
Any suggestions on box specs? I was thinking something like 6 cubes @ 32hz
