I have them wired in the wall to .5 and i watched a youtube vid where a guy clamped his dc 3.5k on a .5 ohm load and he got 4kW RMS and some change...seem perfect for me. So far the plan is see how one sounds and if im not impressed, buy another and rewire the subs to one ohm each and just use 2 3.5ks at one ohm on each sub. I don't claim to know how to solve anything, I just practice the basics. There is nothing worse than wasting hours over a problem that should have taken 5 mins.
