Rodlow1 Posted October 3, 2015 Author Report Posted October 3, 2015 The Taramps 20.2kw did pretty good. But my box rise is killing the power. Was only able to clamp 7k out of it at 3.5 ohms. lockdown801 Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 Who made your bracket and how much? I have a double but I don't like it. I also have 2 370 mechman alts on a 2010 Denali. I have had a lot of alt wine issues so I am going to put the stock back in so I can isolate it from the aftermarket stuff.
Rodlow1 Posted October 3, 2015 Author Report Posted October 3, 2015 I had a lot of noise also. I added grounds to radio. 16 guage also added extra grounds from the alternator to the frame. That quiet it down a lot. Then a added a bandaid(pac noise filter) and it was gone. Rodlow1 Posted October 3, 2015 Author Report Posted October 3, 2015 Ok the two 8k's were in. I had a big show that weekend. The Sundown Show. So I decided I was going to let her rip at that show. Do alot of demoing and compete in all areas. Hopefully I could get on Team Sundown. Throw in couple of 6k scv's in and all would be good in the world. Didn't work out that way! Epic fail! I found out that day Taramps don't like lots of vibration or being mounted to the box. I drove 4 and half hours. I didn't play my subs at all. First run amps blew went into protection. A blew a dust cap off hitting the roof. Lol. It was over for me before I even started the day! I still had a great time.
