BillKessel
Just about a year ago i won SOTM and lost interest on the forum after what happened with that, long story, but I am gonna restart with a fresh build log of the wrangler again. Lets play some catch up since the sixth order! (2) 18" Zv4s(1) CT Sounds 7000.1 (1) Northstar AGM 400(1) 320A Singer AltDont mind the bondo, this is the only photo i have of this build. Had the port tuned around 56hz, sealed section was a bit big, and ended up in the trash.Next up i tried another 4th order, This one did fairly well, but still not what I was looking for.... So i sold EVERYTHING but the amp. for some x12s almost quit audio and gave the walled life up, and built this. That was for (2) Sundown X12s running on the ct 7k at half ohm (coil smell for days) But it got the job done for about a week and it was NOT loud enough. And that ends my short little rebuild catch up for yall! Time to show you what ive got now!
BillKessel
I ended up getting my 18s back after i sold them for the 12s, But not in the condition i sold them as....... That put a damper on the rebuild, but it was for the better.I decided on upgrading the woofers by adding direct leads and nsv3 spiders, So next up is the design since we already have everything else!(2) Sundown Audio Zv4 18"s (NSv3 Softparts)Airspace: 14.5uftTuning: 30hzPort Area: 168.4375sqin
BillKessel
Messed up on the flush trim but its not a big deal .. Some may say i went over kill with the 3" 1/8" steel piping for bracing, but it makes me feel better inside haha
BillKessel
Was going to stain the enclosure, but was not sure how it would turn out with pink dustcaps and a yellow jeep (bad idea to buy them dustcaps lol) Ended up with a Castle Gate grey! Test fit, and playing around with my decals for the dustcaps, they didnt last long i didnt care for the look.Time to make some trim panels and pretty it up! Mustang2dakota
Ill be keeping an eye on this one for sure. I've been thinking about ditching the 4 12's in my jeep and going to 2 high quality 18's. This build log will probably be the deciding factor for me. Good work man. 2014 JKU Sound: pioneer xav-65 4 12in pioneer tsw3003d4 2 pioneer gm-d9601 (much more in route) General: 18in worx rims 33in tire stinger src bumpers light bars 6k hids 2in leveling kit 3.25in lift The Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/195839-2014-jku-build-4-12s/

BillKessel
Now heres the trim panels on the box, still need slight work but, itll do for now Got the rear of the wall wired up, minus the two four channels in this photo. Testing wasn't bad, build was NOT designed for numbers, kind of shocked me.
BillKessel
Now to get the 4 channels wired up, How many of you walled guys can do this (in under 10 minutes) Got me some GP RCA's and a Cock Box! Dont mind my TERRIBLE carpet job on the rear LOLOL, never thought yall would see it Missing my second 4 channel in this photo but yall get the point.gains are positioned so i can adjust them while the roof is on, incase you all were wondering. BillKessel
I forgot to add, the front stage consists of 6 rockford fosgate silkdomes, 2 PRV 6.5s (The big bad neos) and the rear stage is the 8 cheap prvs 6.5s. It seems like it would be terrible sound quality and staging wise, but it actually turned out VERY good (shocked again) but its no means a sound quality setup lol
BillKessel
Got carried away with testing, but no big deal was due for a new one anyway ........ never mind i turned my defrosters on max, when its was like 10 degrees out... one day ill be loud enough LOLNewest addition to the exterior is a rough country lightbar though, so this is a great before and after photo!
