Mosley_23 Posted May 1, 2015 Report Posted May 1, 2015 Ok i have a single din jvc headunit that works fine and yesterday someone gave me a Kenwood double din with gps and everything cant beat that so i go to hook it up today at work and before music or anything had a chance to play this high pitched noise came out of no where. So im thinking the Rca shield is bad? if so cant i just run a with from the outside of the rca cable to the shield and just fuse it. Just trying to get this to work if not im going to buy another double din tomorrow.
Guest Posted May 1, 2015 Report Posted May 1, 2015 Try doing this. If that doesn't work, unplugg the rcas from amp and plug this into the amp and try playing an ipod or something...report back whether or not the sound is still there.
Mosley_23 Posted May 1, 2015 Author Report Posted May 1, 2015 So its not unsafe to not use a fuse to ground them? And i know its not my amps or anything because i hooked my jvc back up and everything sound perfect so i know its the kenwood headunit

Mosley_23 Posted May 1, 2015 Author Report Posted May 1, 2015 just strip some speaker wire and use it?
Guest Posted May 1, 2015 Report Posted May 1, 2015 Or solid copper wire if you have any laying around...google "ground rca shielding" if you want to see more pics
