Jordan Thurston
Is your trunk still moving or rattling at all when playing system, if so may not be sealed off correctly. I half assed sealed two enclosures and never cared for the sound, but when I finally decided to stop being a bitch and used expanding foam. Loved the way it sounded forward firing. Trunk still rattles a little bit and I already used expanding foam maybe I need to use more I'm not sure it looks pretty well sealed up to me maybe I'm missing something but it just doesn't sound as good as it does facing the other way right around 40 hz it sounds really good and loud but other than that just isn't loud at all

Before I realized this topic is 9 friggin pages long. lol And when playing highly compressed audio, as sat radio is, the very first thing to get truncated is bass. Jordan Thurston
Decided to take my rear deck apart and cover up any holes I can find I used gorrilla tape and I can't believe what a difference it made the subs sound so much better and louder then before I did it and my trunk doesn't rattle anymore I also went around the whole box with the tape to make sure it's sealed off and it must have worked Heres some pics of what I did. bcbrassard
To bad you didnt have any sound deadener to install will you had it all apart. That would have made a huge difference. Tape...Meh. Alot of this hobby is learning the best ways and techniques to improve your system. Even on a budget.

Even on a budget. If I had some deadener I would have used that I did do 4 layers of tape and I'm surprised what a difference it made plugging those holes in the deck up. would it be worth getting some deadener for the deck ? It's not to hard to get the rear deck apart
bcbrassard
Sealed up is sealed up. But deadener and acoustic foam work very well used correctly. My rear deck looks like this on both sides to seal & stiffen up the rear. I am running 2 10 on 2K. 1 door done, one to go. I have a new set of kick panels to make to house the P3 8" slims in for midbass. Be starting that soon.

How do you like those soundqubed 10s? I really want to do my doors but I'm afraid I'll mess them up so I haven't attempted it yet lol
