Inspiron100 Posted June 18, 2015 Report Posted June 18, 2015 I plan on building a new 4th order with 4 speakers. When I build it I was wondering if there are any tricks anyone has to ensure the cuts for the speaker holes end up aligned from top to bottom and from each other. Basically centered from all sides of each speaker. I wanted to know because I plan on using plexi on top and I want it to look even. If anyone has any tricks or even some sort of math formula that would be great. Thank you in advance.
_paralyzed_ Posted June 18, 2015 Report Posted June 18, 2015 Draw a horizontal and vertical line across the center of the rectangle you use as a baffle. The point where the lines cross is the exact center of that panel. Now you have 4 smaller rectangles. Take one of the smaller rectangles and make an X by drawing a line from the upper left corner to the lower right corner, and a line from the lower left corner to the upper right corner. Where the two lines of the X cross is the exact center of the smaller rectangle.
