Way back in the day when I was messing around with audio and cars I took my home stereo and hooked it up on my car with RCAs from my deck and the 120v came from a extension cord plugged in to a outlet. There was lots of hissing since I had to crank the volume all the way up on the pro amp to get sound. Big fail but good learning experience.
