A new HU would be much better than any LOC. I personally don't think I'll ever go the LOC route again. I've used them in the past, they're great for cheap installs for those who don't want to spend much money, but after seeing that most do not output a clean signal, if I ever need to retain factory radio, I'll use a DSP. More expensive, but much worth it from what I've seen. Good luck with your head unit decision. Lots of good choices, don't cheap out!
