Is the port, what is referred to as an L port? and with the port being in that location, I think I Saw something about that making the driver seat the Loudest point in the vehicle or something of that nature? Is mdf still the choice, for this, 3/4? Is mdf still the choice, for this, 3/4? It is an L port yes.. L is very short b/c you need only 24 inches of effective port length and the depth of the box is 22.. so your port pices you will need to cut are..Port 15.75x 14.5 15.75x 2.25 Top X2 22x50 Bottom 22x 50 Front 15.75x 42.5 Back 15.75x 48.5 Sides 15.75x 22 And port position is up to you. If you are able to build another box with port on opposite side for testing you can. I personally like my ports on passenger side. Home Depot and Lowes has the same price for the 4 by 8 sheets in my area do you prefer one place over the other. what materials do you recommend GluE carpenter screws caulking? how far should the sub closest to the port be away from The port? and how far should the other sub from edge of the box?basically the Subs spacing?
