After several very expensive head units that have been utter disappointments not only due to their incredibly slow hardware but also to how fast the software goes out of date and compatibility issues. I have decided to go another route. I will be using an Ipad Mini as my Head unit with an HRT istreamer hooked into an audio control Matrix then to my 6 channel zapco amp. Navigation will be handled by the ipad with the help of a Garmin Glo. The only issue to this is that I cannot figure out how to get hands free phone calls from my phone. There is a device called an iSimple , but it requires an auxillary port to plug into. In the chain of hardware I have I see no port to plug it into. The Audiocontrol matrix will only have one pair of rca’s plugged into it as the Zapco will be handling the processing duties. Can I use a 3.5 jack to rca adapter to plug the ISimple into the matrix? Or am I going to be using a usb hub at the HRT iStreamer?
