fistfull95 Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 Hi there, I have a Peugeot 206 (I live in Europe), and have recently upgraded my sound system. I have a Galaxy 4ch amp which powers the doors, and a Sioux amp which powers my SPL-Dynamics subwoofers. Ever since I installed the new amp to go with the subwoofers, I have this terrible alt whine and a pop when I shut my car off. My RCAs are not crossing my power wires. I have done the big 3, except for the positive wire from the alt to the battery (I know this is probably the most important step but I have yet to find an extension to reach the alt, as it's in a very funny spot. I have replaced the clamps on the battery and reran all cables with 0 gauge cable, including a 0g directly from the negative post on the battery to the distribution block, and it still pops and whines. Changing hu didn't work either. The only thing I can think of is my subwoofer amp that might be faulty, but it's brand new. I don't have an replacement amp yet, so I can't test that for now. Is there anything I am overlooking? Thanks, Ivo

fistfull95 Posted August 31, 2015 Author Report Posted August 31, 2015 Thanks for your reply, I have just followed the Alternator Whine part, and I must conclude that the whine is still here..
fistfull95 Posted August 31, 2015 Author Report Posted August 31, 2015 Just unplugged my RCAs again, and I know notice that the whine is gone but my subwoofers are popping every 10 seconds or so
