kichan
Are a xs power d3400 battery and a mechman 240 amp alternator good match or do i need another battery or a different one to mach my alternator?
reedal
You don't need to match your alternator and battery other than your battery rests at 12v, and the alternator charges at 13.8-14.4v. reedal
If you are trying to charge a 12v battery at 16v, yeah, you're going to have a lot of issues, not just with the battery. 12v batteries rest between 12-13VDC, and are charged from 13.5-14.4VDC. Optimum alt charging voltage is 14.4 Quote SMD Tool Map https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/193176-smd-tool-map-new-november-2014/ Build log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/197217-reeds-03-tahoe-hat-sqaq-singer-xs-shca-cockbox-80prs/?page=
