Beckett Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 hi there, i have 4 RF 70 rms 2way conponants to put on my front doors. i am thinking of buying a 4 channel amp similar to my sub's amp.... it is 104rms each channel, so i'll set that to 70rms. i believe my head unit, an alpine9850RI only has one rca output on the back? so would it be good to get a rca splitter thing to run to each amp? on my jbl gto1201.1 amp it has an 'AUX OUT' , i plugged some rca's into there, and put them up to a second amp to test what the speakers would sound like....but with it like that if i have the subwoofer settin on the HU set to +0 and then turn that up to +10(for example) the volume of the speakers would get louder(the treble/vocals) is that normal, or is it odd? please give me advice on the best way to set a second amp up in my system please:) thanks for helping, Beckett. techaninna Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 If your HU only has one set of RCA's (i assume not a sub output) then just split it so your getting unaltered sound from the HU then tune each amp accordingly. Rebuild coming soon
