With bandpass boxes you can have smooth response with wide bandwidth, or you can have high efficiency for getting really loud, but you can't have both at the same time. Everything is a trade off so you have to decide what your priorities are and where you are willing to sacrifice. Am I way off base here or is it safe to stick with that idea and continue figuring out the design.
