I dont remember too many subs that took more than 400rms back then lol A local shop had one of these running 16 tens in a Nissan ext cab back in the day.I worked for a competing shop but they where the bassheads to see and we where known as the SQ guys.I actually ended up with a few of the I think VLX 50's and ran them for years till I eventually smoked one.The things are stronger than tanks,you can see the fried board yet it still was playing the only reason I knew something was up was the actual amp had a sort of hissing/whining sound coming from the case when powered up I absolutely tortured these things,the one I smoked was actually mounted underneath my amp rack because I didnt want my boss to see it and it was run in a death trap like that for years.
