Ahmed Johnson Posted October 16, 2015 Report Posted October 16, 2015 I'm about to put new rotors on and while I'm at it I want to take those torx bolts out and put regular 14-16mm bolts. Does anybody know if that is possible? I have an 04 Tahoe.
FourRings Posted October 29, 2015 Report Posted October 29, 2015 Just about every GM I've dealt with requires a torks or allen on the slider bolts because of its design.You could possibly change it to a hex/allen key but thats about it and honestly I doubt its worth the trouble.
Ahmed Johnson Posted October 29, 2015 Author Report Posted October 29, 2015 My trailblazer didn't have torx bolts. I want the hex bolts, but I don't think they make them for a tahoe. for now, I bought new caliper bolts, the torx kind. For the future I'd rather use hex if possible.
