MotorCityFats13 Posted November 1, 2015 Report Share Posted November 1, 2015 to paint mdf you first have to do a seal coat with polyester resin let it absorb and keep coating until it cant take anymore then prime and paint... i have only painted mdf on the ported boxes on blow through's with plexi so you could see the subs from inside the truck bed .... the cool thing with vinyl is if the box is too big you can have grandma sew 2 or more pieces together with a fancy double stitch in thread that pops to the eye so you are not stuck with the 53" length.... one day I will buy a damn sewing machine!
