Sub Box Tuning Help

I'm using the sub box volume calculator on the 12Volt: http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxcalcs.asp

When calculating what frequency to tune the box to, do I need to use the gross internal volume of the box (not taking into account sub & port displacement), or the net internal volume of the box (with port & sub displacement already deducted from the box's volume)?

My internal box volume is 2.635 ft^3 before sub & port displacement and 1.80 ft^3 after sub & port displacement.

1 it depends on the subwoofer and its specs, if in the owners manual it says to add port displacement then you use it with the net volume which would be after sub and port displacement. It would only note that if that was the case most manufacturers give a recommended enclosure suggestion and a net volume which would be the enclosure volume afterall displacement, bracing displacement, port displacement, and subwoofer displacement
