plush4318 Posted December 9, 2015 Report Posted December 9, 2015 Hey all, this isn't really my forte, I understand the concepts and what not but don't know everything. I was going to just run the wires from the amp directly to the speakers but it looks nearly impossible to do with the amount of time I have. (huge clip blocking off access) So my next idea was to just run directly back to behind the head unit and hit the wires there. I haven't soldered the wires from the head unit to the PAC yet, so I was wondering if I could just disconnect the radio side and go from there. Would doing this effect the PAC at all? Or would it just be better to go after the pac and into the stock harness. 04trailblazer XS d3400 XS xp3000 Pioneer 80prs 2 pairs of DD AW6.5 mids 2 pairs of DD AT28 tweeters DD SS4A DD M1D DD 3518sc in custom kerf port box 2 runs Tspec 0/1 wire
3vil Posted December 9, 2015 Report Posted December 9, 2015 Yes, you can take the signal into the pac -> into the 4ch -> and then into the factory speaker wiring. Many would argue that it's not the ideal way to do it, but it's the easiest.

Many would argue that it's not the ideal way to do it, but it's the easiest. I ended up just following the speaker wires from the head unit into the stock harness and cut the wires after the harness. Made it really easy to tell which wire was which. The only problem I'm having now is the rear speaker output is waaaaaay lower then the front speakers. I don't know if it's a setting from the amp i need to adjust or settings on the head unit itself. Gotta research some more or start a whole different thread. 04trailblazer XS d3400 XS xp3000 Pioneer 80prs 2 pairs of DD AW6.5 mids 2 pairs of DD AT28 tweeters DD SS4A DD M1D DD 3518sc in custom kerf port box 2 runs Tspec 0/1 wire
3vil Posted December 9, 2015 Report Posted December 9, 2015 And your fader isn't set way up front is it?
plush4318 Posted December 10, 2015 Author Report Posted December 10, 2015 And your fader isn't set way up front is it? There is no fade setting for some reason, just balance. I tried running auto ta/eq but it failed when I got to high r 04trailblazer XS d3400 XS xp3000 Pioneer 80prs 2 pairs of DD AW6.5 mids 2 pairs of DD AT28 tweeters DD SS4A DD M1D DD 3518sc in custom kerf port box 2 runs Tspec 0/1 wire
3vil Posted December 10, 2015 Report Posted December 10, 2015 It seems really odd for your HU to have time alignment but no fader. What are you running? Edit: why are you running a PAC if you have a HU and a 4ch?

Edit: why are you running a PAC if you have a HU and a 4ch? For awhile, I didn't have a 4 channel amp (man on a budget buys a little at a time LOL). I'm leaving the pac for the steering wheel controls and door chimes. After doing a little digging, I found out that when switching to 3 way active on the pioneer 80prs it changes from front back sub to high mid low, I had to change it back to normal mode and turn the internal amp off on the hu. This fixed the sound issue. Now I need to work on tuning everything. ughhhhhhhhhhhh 04trailblazer XS d3400 XS xp3000 Pioneer 80prs 2 pairs of DD AW6.5 mids 2 pairs of DD AT28 tweeters DD SS4A DD M1D DD 3518sc in custom kerf port box 2 runs Tspec 0/1 wire
