Chris Braun Posted January 6, 2016 Report Posted January 6, 2016 Hey guys, I have a Boston Competitor 1200 and trying to get the most out of it. It's designed for a sealed box, and I have it in one that's slightly too small and its just lacking the bass I need. It sounds decent SQ wise but just no output, which is also partly due to factory integration. I have a cheap converter hooked up to the sub channel and it calfs out when I turn it up, so I might try just hooking the signal up to the speakers instead to see how that sounds. It's a 2009 Honda Accord EX-L. In any case, I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me from the specs on the website, how a ported box would sound with this sealed sub. I'm going for a more flat SQ sound but more towards lower bass with the most SPL i can get out of it. Even if someone could punch in the specs into a box calculator and get the dimensions of the wood i need to cut out and i could just build it, that would be awesome. Thanks in advance!
