Ratski Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 i have been searching around a bit but havent been able to nail anything down. so im putting in two 10" havocs on a 3500.1 now i am going to need some mids and highs to keep up. just curious on opinions and kinda a who uses what. i want to keep my sound quality as well. want to keep it not too exspensive
Jake Miles Mckeehan Posted February 17, 2016 Report Posted February 17, 2016 well what i did was go with the pps4-8 they are a loud and clear midrange driver they dont have any bass, but if you want to go bass wise do some 6x9s or if you cant do that some 6.5 maybe rockford fosgate R165x3 prime, there not to expensive, kickers work, but they are okay. ive heard infinity has some great speakers that are great sounding and have some mid-bass.
Ratski Posted February 27, 2016 Author Report Posted February 27, 2016 i ended up with focal ps-165. hopefully they sound good. i had read reviews online and everyone loved them. havent been able to find much on here about them though. i have heard some things about the access line of focal but not the expert.

Ratski Posted February 27, 2016 Author Report Posted February 27, 2016 also i wonder how these would sound if i ran the ps165 upfront and a set of the pps4-8 in the rear with no tweeter?
Ratski Posted March 20, 2016 Author Report Posted March 20, 2016 fair warning for other guys searching around the forums. focal ps165 will not fit the rear doors as the mounting depth is too deep.
Ratski Posted March 21, 2016 Author Report Posted March 21, 2016 Well the speaker mounts to a plastic mounting bracket so a spacer would be very tough. And I top of that it will push the speaker into the door panel. I have reconfigured and am going to put a set of focal ps130 5.25" components instead
