enclosure design questions. newb stuff inside

I just ordered a fi q 10 and soundqubed 1200w amp. I'm trying to come up with a plan for the enclosure and my Google fu sucks. I've been looking around for info and I'm just as lost as ever. The company says .5 to 1.25 cf for a ported box. How do you go about finding the sweet spot for size? How do you figure out the size of the port you need? How do you know what it will be tuned to? I'm wanting to do a simple slot port enclosure. I down loaded an app for enclosure design but it's above my level of understanding. It's like you have to have an engineering degree for this. So much info to take in. Thanks for any help

Box tune calculator. It wants you to plug in the port dimensions, but I obviously don't know what i need.
