The biggest thing on the 16.9 volt system is how fast the alternators will heat up. This would be a huge down fall for the daily driver plan. You could run a 12v with a charging voltage of 16v flat. This is how I got more power out of the MA audio 10k's. More than 12v and not enough for 16.9v in the middle is safe overall. (my opinion) MLA Quote missinglinkaudio The United States Marine Corps.
