Bam Bam
I wiring multiple 8 ohm midrange speakers to a few amplifiers. I have 3 - 8 ohm 10's wired to an amp and the math says it should be 2.67 ohms (but 8 ohm speakers typically read out with more resistance.) Question would most consider it safe to wire a quality 2 ohm stable amplifier to 1.6-1.7 ohms? 6 Funky Pup 12's
CleanSierra
DC resistance and impedance are not exactly the same thing. If the speaker is advertised as 8 ohms, you should be able to accept that as true and go with the 2.67 final load per channel. It really depends on the amp in question, whether or not it will go below 2 ohms safely. Like a Fosgate, I wouldn't try it. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
