Need help with sa8-v2 box design

i've got a a JL Audio 500/1 which is 500rms at 2ohm and 300rms at 4ohm and the rockford 8" is 250rms 500 max so would you run dual 2ohm or dual 4ohm ?

I'd run dual 4 ohms wired down to 2. That way you can get full power out of your amp. As long as you have your gains properly and use some common sense the sub should be fine on that power.
