akrja_07
2001 Silverado extended cab Directed D2400 RE SE 15 @2 ohm (older model) Bought the sub with box for 75 bucks so not bad. It gets pretty loud in the mid 40s and 50s but pretty much anything under 35 is not impressive at all. Previous owner said the box was built to spec and was 4 cubes @34. If it was at 34 I should be diggin into the mid/high 20s pretty well I think. I'm not sure if trucks are harder to get lows in vs a trunk? Or maybe the box isn't what it should be. Pulled out the sub and got some measurements. 37.5w x 15.5d x 18.5h - The port runs 12: into box including baffle and the shorter port piece is 5" and port opening is 3". Should I build a new box? If so where should I tune to? I like the lower notes I had a DC level 3 @28 and it was perfect for me. Or any other recommendations would be awesome!
